Government Coronavirus Grants – application process now open

It is now possible to apply for coronavirus grant support in Scotland.

To apply you need to complete a downloadable application form and send the form by email to your local council, along with a scan of a recent business bank statement.

Each local council has a copy of its own form and instructions for sending.

This link gives more clear information, and how to find your local council site.

To be eligible for one of the grants, your business must be a non-domestic rate payer and be within the rates system.  You will know if this applies to your business as you will already be receiving annual rates bills, albeit with small business bonus scheme or rural rates relief.

Unfortunately self-catering holiday homes, caravans and timeshares are all specifically excluded from this grant funding.

Please  note that the above process applies to Scotland only.  In England & Wales, the local councils will be contacting businesses directly to apply for the grants.

If you have any questions around your eligibility for the grant, or regarding completion of the form, then please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
